Françoise Boillat, born in 1974 at La Chaux-de-Fonds, in Switzerland, is an actress who graduated from the Lousanne Conservatory in 1998. She then remarcably worked under the direction of Antoine Jaccoud, Dominique Bourquin, Charlotte Hüldi, Robert Sandoz, Marielle Pinsard, Guillaume Béguin, Philippe Macasdar, Oscar Gomez Mata, the music group Velma, Patrice de Montmollin, Hervé Loichemol, Dominique Dardant, Yann Mercanton, André Erlen, Andrea Novicov, Firmin Belza Gomez, Nathalie Sandoz, Stefan H. Kraft, Francy Schori.
In 2000, she goes to Russia where she becomes auditor at the Theatre Academy in Saint-Petersburg and teaches theater to young students. Then, she stays in Romania for one year and works as an actress for the National Theater in Craiova for a bilingual project directed by Alexandru Boureanu. In 2004, she fonds La Compagnie du Gaz, whose first project is Dysfonctions et Maltraitances, a theatrical soap opera written by Antoine Jaccoud and directed by Robert Sandoz. In 2010, she creates Trois Soeurs moins le quart, a collective show around Chekohov and Italian love songs. In January 2014, the company puts on two shows: Les Biches, a documentary show about the serial killers, and Le Manuscrit des chiens, at TPR (Romand Popular Theater). A long collaboration debutes with Antoine Jaccoud and together they put on Les Survivants, En attendant la grippe aviaire, Obèse, Désalpe, ode à l’hiver perdu, Chambre d’amis, created in November 2014 at Köln. Then, in 2017, at Theater of Vidy in Lausanne Etre bête. Meanwhile, Françoise creates Certaines n’avaient jamais vu la mer in 2015, Wallflowering in 2017 at Salzburg. In 2017 she directs her first show for all Le Caillou. Her last shows in March 2019 Aime-moi ou crève! an adaptation of Andromaque by Jean Racine, Marcel show with young public in February 2020, and Médée by P. Corneille, april 2021, TPR (Romand Popular Theatre), La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Since 2011, Françoise Boillat has been teaching and coordinating preparatory training for TPR.
