The Nameless Star
Theatre show
“The Nameless Star”, a show where comedy intertwines with drama, is highly recommended to all those who want to dream and escape from everyday life! “It’s a delicious romantic comedy full of emotion, sensitivity, lyricism, empathy and, last but not least, humour. The action takes place in the period between the two World Wars, a time full of bonhomie and perfume specific to the era. A train station in a grey provincial fair – this is the place, seemingly trivial, where the two characters meet: the shy and dreamy teacher Miroiu and Mona, a beautiful girl captive to the easily obtained comfort. But what will happen on the special night that follows will forever change the destiny of the two.
The man, who imagined a world of infinite beauty, sees his dream materialized, and the woman without any real passion, trapped in a world of material wealth, finally discovers herself. Will Mona fall in love? May. Will Mona (re)discover herself? With fuse. But the morning will dispel the night’s magic and bring in a key character. The appearance of Grig will force the central character of the play to oscillate between the temptation of the dream and that of luxury. What decision will Mona make?! The unnamed star, a show in which comedy intertwines with drama, I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to dream and escape from everyday life!” (Andrei Ciobanu, director).
