What is LOVE? Baby don’t hurt me
Show
“What is LOVE? Baby don’t hurt me” by Alina Tofan is a performance whose theme is the need to define love. Each scene shows the relationship of a couple and the way they relate to love, sometimes willing to live it as they feel, other times influenced by society.
The show questions what love is in a world that’s always in motion, what is love when it’s just felt, but doesn’t fit into anything others have taught you it is?
Every day we are bombarded with ideas about love that are not our own. Mass media and American movies make us believe that love only ticks if you have passed the “10 signs that he loves you”. Do the gestures that accompany love belong to us or are they just inventions of a world where love is just another kind of consumer product?
